Accountant
Summary:
The general function of a Lokal Homes Accountant is to perform accounting duties for assigned projects including: recording home closings, preparing journal entries, recording cash receipts, maintaining land / land development budgets. The Accountant is also responsible for delivering an unrivaled customer experience to every Lokal Homes stakeholder including co-workers, auditors, vendors and other entities.
What You Will Do Each Day In This Role:
• Perform accounting functions through preparation of financial statements and reconciliations
• Assist in administering the accounts payables function
• File and maintains accounting records
• Assists Director of Accounting with monthly financial reports
• Reconcile bank accounts, posts and balance general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments and compile segments of monthly closings, periodic reports, etc.
• Position is based in our Greenwood Village area office and will work onsite with our Accounting & Finance team

• Deadline Management – Tasks need to be completed correctly and on time for our closing cycles and external audit requirements
Required Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in homebuilding or construction
• Excellent communication skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Newstar software highly preferred (this is a homebuilding program)
Base Salary Range $60,000 to $75,000 plus annual bonus opportunity. Excellent benefits including 17 days of PTO per year, Medical, Dental, Vision, Company Paid Disability & Life Insurance and 401k.
