Responsibilities
Currently, they are seeking an Accountant who will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for both close-ended and open-ended funds
In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will support the Accounting Manager in fund reporting tasks, including the preparation of quarterly investor reports, annual audits, budget reporting, debt compliance, and managing capital call/distribution processes, as well as handling ad hoc requests from limited partners
This is a hybrid role that will allow you to work both remotely and in-office
You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including journal entries, month-end close for fund structures, payables coding, and assisting in foreign exchange calculations and entries
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely
Perform month-end close procedures for fund structures, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts
Code and process payables accurately and promptly
Assist with foreign exchange calculations and entries
Support the preparation of Fund financial statements, including all necessary calculations and schedules
Aid in the preparation of Fund investor reports, including providing necessary calculations and schedules
Assist with the preparation of Fund-level debt compliance, including all required calculations and schedules
Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting/reporting standards
Assist with Advisory/AGM/AIP schedules and materials, as needed
Collaborate with other team members to improve financial procedures and systems
