Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team at our headquarters. Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for applying general accounting principles, analyzing financial information, and preparing accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and thrive in a fast-paced environment. While primarily based at our headquarters, some work-from-home flexibility may be available.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; focus on Cost Accounting preferred
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a Department of Defense contractor
• Proficiency in MS Office required; experience with Deltek Costpoint software a plus
• Analytical thinker with excellent time management skills
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Job Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform general accounting duties, including accounts payable and fixed asset reporting
• Monitor financial transactions and activities for assigned accounts
• Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data
• Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts
• Assist in the preparation of special reports as directed
• Maintain accounting controls and audit documents
• Participate in special projects, team training, and development
• Assist with the development and updating of accounting policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned or required
