JY Accountants' is seeking an experienced and ambitious Accountant to join our growing team in Southport, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality taxation services and financial advisory support to our diverse range of clients.
What you'll be doing
Preparing and lodging accurate tax returns for individual and business clients
Advising clients on tax planning strategies to minimise their tax obligations
Conducting tax research to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Assisting with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports and BAS statements
Providing tailored financial advice and recommendations to clients
Collaborating with the wider accounting team to deliver exceptional client service
Staying up-to-date with changes in taxation laws and regulations
What we're looking for
A tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field
At least 5 years experience in a Australian Public Practice
Strong knowledge of Australian taxation laws and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
A proactive and client-focused approach
The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
