We are a well-established Gold Coast CPA accounting firm specializing in business advisory services to a wide range of clients based all over Queensland. At Trak, we like to do things a little differently and spend our time with our clients to help them understand influence, and build upon their business and life, so they can make the very best of the world around them.
An exciting opportunity has opened to join our practice located in Robina. We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and positive accountant to join our team. It is a full-time position.
The successful candidate will:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience at a similar position
· Intermediate to strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Strong analytical skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Attend client meetings and follow up to clients with queries
· Prepare Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
· Prepare Financial Statements, including Depreciation Schedules for manager’s review
· Prepare Income Tax Returns
· Prepare CGT calculations and provide advice to clients
· Prepare FBT calculations and provide salary packaging reviews to clients
· Liaise with the ATO on client matters
· Prepare BSA Annual Review Reports
· Prepare ATO applications such as ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG
· Provide general accounting and taxation advice to clients
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings
· Research and accurately interpret taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings for clients
· Participate in external and internal training as required
· Maintain current and accurate files and record and date any actions and detailed file notes
· Prepare workflow reports for your own client work
· Assist with prepare cash flow budgets and profit plans for client’s tax planning
· Assist with senior accountant to supervise graduated accountant
