Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for daily cash management including daily reconciliation of all cash accounts, accounts receivable processing and collections as well as assisting in the month end close, preparing general ledger analysis and account reconciliations and other general accounting responsibilities
This position will also be responsible for settlement billing including creating and uploading files into the market system, and daily interactions with both internal and external customers and other projects as assigned
Responsible for daily reconciliation of all cash accounts
Reviewing and recording all cash transactions processed through the bank on a daily basis, including creating journal entries to book cash transactions
Processing incoming and outgoing wire payments, moving funds between accounts as needed, including settlement wires which amounts are up to a total $8 billion/year
Authorizing the release of the settlement bill to Participants which indicates 100% accuracy, interfacing Market System Files to the Financial System, and performing various other billings directed by the tariff such as FCM Market or other special billings
Preparing accruals for the month-end close and provide support to the senior accountant and/or supervisor
Assisting in reports needed from different agencies including FERC filings or outside request

This position will be responsible for daily cash management including daily reconciliation of all cash accounts, accounts receivable processing and collections as well as assisting in the month end close, preparing general ledger analysis and account reconciliations and other general accounting responsibilities. • Minimum 1 year of accounting experience is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
