Job Summary
Accountant to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. Accountant responsibilities include auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements and calculating tax payments and returns. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Accountant will provide us with accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Ø Manage all accounting transactions.
Ø Prepare budget forecasts.
Ø Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
Ø Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
Ø Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
Ø Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
Ø Audit financial transactions and documents.
Ø Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
Ø Comply with financial policies and regulations
Ø Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the organization
Ø Responsible for all timely outgoing payments as well as following up for outstanding payment collections.
Ø Conduct monthly, quarterly, annually account reconciliations and closing to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Ø Analyse financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the board's attention.
Ø Review all inter-company transactions.
Ø Reconcile balance sheet and accounts.
Ø Coordinate annual audits with the external auditing team.
Ø Conduct regular ledger maintenance on Tally.
Ø Manage all statutory filings – GST, TDS, and Advance Tax etc.
Ø Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders
Ø Preparing budget forecasts
Ø Processing tax payments and returns.
Ø Supervise all banking and Finance activities.
Requirements:
Ø Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s preferred) / BCom / MCom
Ø 3+ years’ experience in general or tax accounting as an Accountant in Retail as well as Ecommerce based company.
Ø Experience with computerized ledger systems (ex – Tally) as well as general ledger functions.
Ø Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ø Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables ·
Ø Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills ·
Ø Experience with conducting company audits
Ø Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
Ø Fluent in English and Hindi
