The Mumbai CoE will enable global collaboration, continuous improvement, and optimization across our operations with speed and accuracy. Goal / purpose of the job:
Responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant tax reporting. Liaising with the RTR team to ensure preparation of the required tax reports.
Information about the department:
ARLANXEO's GL and Reporting team ensures the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting. They meticulously manage the entire closing process, from gathering data to finalizing reports, managing the tasks related to taxes. Through collaboration with various departments, they guarantee the integrity of our financial statements, enabling confident decision-making and fostering trust with stakeholders.
This role is based in our office in Powai, Mumbai with flexible working hours.
YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct Tax Activities:
• Preparation of mandatory tax notes (monthly)
• Calculation and posting of Deferred Tax Position
Indirect Tax Activities:
• Align on balances for VAT and confirm correct balances in SAP
• Determine correction postings for AP and work with outsourcing providers to ensure corrections are completed
Additional Activities:
• Collaborating with Operations and external service providers to identify and correct tax-related discrepancies in accounts payable.
• Monthly Deferred tax hedging activities
• Withholding of taxes for licensing fees
WHO YOU ARE:
• Taxation & Accounting Expert: You have knowledge of Taxation, Accounting Policies; statutory norms; knowledge of compliance/ non- compliance related risks interpretation and management.
• Experienced System User: You have experience & competency in using ERP (SAP - S4 Hana; SE (desired), financial tools, MS Excel, Power Apps (desired), MS Suites etc.
• Collaborative: You foster healthy collaboration within the team. The role necessitates a team player approach to achieve timely completion of tax activities.
• Problem Solver: Resolve and align on correct balances in SAP and determine correcting postings.
• Analytical: You can create insightful and actionable dashboards using data analysis for informed decision making within organization.
• Task-oriented: You optimize tasks assigned and enhancing operational efficiency through continuous improvements.
