Responsibilities:
Monthly Tasks
· Manage team of 4 - 5 accountants to drive timely and accurate monthly reporting
· Manage the monthly account reconciliations and month-end close process
· Prepare and record Revenue and Revenue-related entries (i.e. Doctor Compensation Accruals, Bad Debt / Reserves, etc.)
· Work with Finance Directors and Operations to understand and monitor different clinic bonus structures
· Review monthly reporting package to analyze P&L variances and support the Company’s operations
· Present financial results in internal Preliminary Financial Review meeting
· Attend and participate in Monthly Operating Review meetings
· Partner with Office Managers, Partner Doctors, and Operation Teams to resolve any issues. Managers are the primary communicators to Partner Doctors for the Accounting Department.
Quarterly Tasks
· Manage and review Quarterly Doctor Compensation true-up files. Oversee distribution.
· Lease Management – commit to understanding offices’ rent schedules and nuances
Annual Tasks
· Manage year-end close duties
· Work with Corporate Accounting team and external auditors to provide support for annual audit
Integration-related Tasks
· Manage the integration of newly acquired practices into our accounting system and other internal processes
· For new partnerships, review the Quality of Earnings reports gathered in Due Diligence and perform necessary accruals
· Doctor Legacy Bank Reconciliations – review and meet with Partner Doctors to resolve
· Review or Record Legacy Payroll and complete related balance sheet reconciliation
Other Tasks
· Partner with business partners across the organization to manage integration of new clinics
· Identify opportunities and lead initiatives for process improvement to drive positive change
· Complete Government Census reports as required
· Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
· Ensure compliance with US GAAP
· Lead and mentor talent to drive operational excellence
· Perform other ad-hoc projects as required
· Lead needed trainings for Staff
· Interview potential new Staff or Senior Accountants, as needed
Job Requirements:
· Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
· 5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or Industry
· Active CPA License (Preferred)
· Expert knowledge of US GAAP
· Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel (intermediate to advanced)
· Excellent organizational and communication skills
· Desire to work in a high-growth, start-up environment
· Must be in office a minimum of 3 days per week MWF
Must be willing and able to work extended hours, as needed, to complete tasks timely and accurately
