Accountant
We are a family-oriented construction company based on the Gulf Coast and have been in business for over 40 years. We are looking to add on an accomplished Accountant who is looking for serious growth opportunity with a trustworthy leader in the exterior restoration and general contracting industry. What You Will Be Doing
You will be aiding the Assistant Controller with tasks relating to financial budgeting and forecasting and collaborating with other cross-functional teams such as Operations and People/Culture.
This isn't a position where you will just be sitting in front of a computer all day, but accuracy in reporting and financial statements IS essential!
Support overall financial management functions including billing, AR, AP, job costing, treasury management, and the general ledger. Prepare and deliver accurate and timely financial reports to third party service providers, owners, and managers. Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, collaborating with managers. Collaborate with project managers on job cost accounting to track and forecast project costs and profitability. Collaborate with 3rd party CPA firm for preparation of annual financial statement review, tax returns, and regulatory filings. Collaborate with Controller to maintain and update the ERP/general ledger system. Evaluate and implement improvements to financial systems, processes, controls, and workflows and ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
What You Need for this Position
Recent Graduate of Masters Program and/or 1-2 years of professional Accounting experience
Desire to grow into management/executive role within 5+ years
Team-oriented; humble and proactive
Organized and Analytical - attention to detail is KEY!
Proficiency in Accounting Software
CPA licensure or working towards it is a PLUS!
