The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Key Responsibilities
• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against forecasts.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Manage the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit VAT returns, tax computations, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
• Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external audits, ensuring all financial information is accurate and readily available for review.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Cost Control & Analysis: Provide financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve business performance.
• Payroll Processing: Support or manage payroll processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Financial Systems & Processes: Implement and maintain financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
• Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure that the company complies with all relevant financial regulations and provide regulatory reporting as required (e.g., Companies House submissions, statutory accounts).
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Workday, Oracle, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Financial Regulations: Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax laws, HMRC compliance, and financial regulations.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities or business needs.
• Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience
• For Junior/Entry-Level Roles:
• 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
• Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
• For Senior Roles:
• 4+ years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of managing financial accounts and reporting.
• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with strong post-qualification experience.
• Experience in preparing statutory accounts and working with external auditors.
• For Both:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
