Job Description
This position completes timely and accurate month end close processes, account reconciliations, budgets, tax packages, governmental and other requested financial reporting for assigned facilities.
This position will collect and compile data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical information.
Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, prepaid amortization schedules, fixed asset capitalizations, depreciation and other duties as assigned for assigned facilities in accordance with GAAP and established company policies.
Complete income statement and balance sheet analysis and explanations, financial package schedules, and tax packages.
Collect and compile data from multiple sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Assist senior financial leadership in the review of month end close including analysis, research, and resolution of questions or concerns.
Research identified variances to complete variance analysis on financial statements and provide explanations for unusual fluctuations when applicable.
Assist facility Administrators and other personnel on accounting related questions and problems. Assist in the completion of work papers assigned for external or internal audits.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
At least three years of related general ledger, full cycle accounting experience, hospital or healthcare fiscal accounting setting preferred but not required.
Financial ERP systems.
Microsoft Office.
Advanced Excel functions.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
Effective communicator, both written and oral.
Attention to detail, strong judgement and problem-solving skills required.
