Job Description
The John and Marcia Price College of Engineering is seeking an experienced and talented individual to join our accounting team as an Accountant. This role will involve overseeing evidence of review (EOR) reporting, credit card reconciliation and audit, preparing and assessing student payroll, analyzing financial information, and developing and preparing reports and financial statements.

Responsibilities
The essential functions of this role include preparing and assessing budget, revenue, expense, payroll, and journal entries, analyzing and monitoring payroll, budgets, and expenditures, reconciling credit card expenditures and balance sheets, developing accounting systems and documents, and interacting with auditors. The Accountant is expected to apply accounting principles, federal cost accounting regulations, and University policies and procedures to various situations and recommend changes to accounting-based procedures.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operates in an office environment and requires sitting, hearing, listening, talking, and sometimes involves repetitive hand motion and walking. Minimal qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with one year of related experience or equivalent. The ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of general ledger accounting practices, cost analysis, accounting principles, and possess analytical, problem-solving, human relations, and effective communication skills. Knowledge of PeopleSoft or Access databases may be preferred in some areas.
