Job Purpose:
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in completing the month-end close. This role will reconcile the balance sheet accounts, resolve open items, and prepare and monitor financials in support of the business group's objective.
Job Responsibilities:
Complete the month-end close for assigned divisions/areas, which includes all general ledger entries.
Complete month-end account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and bank accounts.
Coordinate the identification and compilation of information to provide accurate and timely reports to management and other appropriate internal organizations.
Develop, re-engineer, and implement innovative processes to enhance accounting, finance, and managerial reporting, and other accounting service functions.
Communicate and coordinate with parent companies on accounting and management issues, as required.
Work with accounts receivable and accounts payable to resolve and implement corrective measures.
Identify accounting treatments and implements solutions.
Perform other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Assists in the monthly evaluation of actuals vs budget.
Work Experience:
1-3 years of related job experience.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Preferred - Accounting
Master's Degree Preferred
