Full job description
Aurora ARC Wind offers comprehensive Construction, Inspection, Repair and Maintenance services to the wind industry. We deliver safe, reliable, and effective service 365 days of the year, a service which is synonymous with best-in-class quality and delivering on services.
The Position:
Aurora ARC are currently seeking a full-time Accountant to assist the CFO and Finance team in achieving timely and accurate project/contract reporting for the Company as it grows and increases in project portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have prior Accountant experience with construction/project experience, a sound knowledge of project controls, be familiar with accounting for projects/contracts and understand earned value concepts with a proven ability to deliver timely monthly reporting packs to business stakeholders.
Key duties will include:
Client billing and claim reconciliation to ensure all revenues are captured and invoiced in a timely accurate manner.
Completion of month end accruals and processes including revenue recognition in line with contractual entitlements and earned value.
Assist with business forecasts and analysis including actual vs. forecast
Completion of monthly Balance Sheets reconciliations
Assist with the compilation of projects monthly reporting packs including the preparation and JTD WIP analysis
Maximising cash flows and assistance with cash flow forecasting
The person:
As the successful candidate you will have:
Essential:
Tertiary Qualification in Accounting or post graduate qualifications preferred.
Demonstrable and successful financial/project accounting experience/capability in a project-based business environment with at least 3 years' experience gained at this level.
Demonstrated financial and commercial acumen
Ability to develop and maintain financial forecasts and reporting and communicate successfully to the business for decision making purposes
Project management tools and systems understanding
Collaborative communication style with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team
High level pf self-discipline, self-motivation: energy and initiative.
