ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Account Officer for the Marriott International Management Company- Australia, your role is primarily to support day-to-day finance operations mainly Accounts payable, receivable, and Concur expense claims.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure timely preparation and processing of invoices in the accounting system.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
Continually identify process improvements and efficiencies for accounting and financial-related policies and procedures.
Participate in month-end close process.
Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (staff, audit, banks) by providing information, and using investigative and problem-solving skills to resolve general queries that arise.
Ensure compliance of tax requirements including domestic GST and international VAT/GST.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Understanding of GL accounts, cost centers, and coding procedures.
Demonstrated enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement.
Experience in accounts payable and receivables.
Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders professionally and proactively.
Advanced skills in the Microsoft suite of applications, particularly Excel
Proven ability to work under pressure, effectively coordinating and prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
