Job Title: Accountant

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
• Conduct regular financial analysis to identify areas of improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and potential financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Handle the month-end and year-end closing process, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide financial data and reports for decision-making purposes.
• Manage and reconcile bank accounts and perform periodic bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash flow, initiate payments, and handle vendor and customer inquiries related to billing and payments.
• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and cooperating with auditors.
• Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and ensure data security.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) are a plus with a minimum 10 years of experience.
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Local candidate from Varanasi will be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially MS Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax preparation.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Ethical conduct and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
