Job Title: Accounting Assistant
Location: Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, India
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team at a prestigious resort located in the beautiful region of Uttarakhand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial management, and a thorough understanding of the hospitality industry. As a Resort Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the resort's financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and contributing to the overall success of the resort.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and maintain all financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
2. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, budget reports, and other financial reports to provide accurate and timely information to management.
3. Monitor and reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and cash handling procedures.
4. Coordinate with department heads and management to prepare annual budgets and forecast financial performance.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and improve operational efficiency.
6. Conduct regular audits of financial transactions, identify any discrepancies or irregularities, and implement corrective measures.
7. Process payroll, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
8. Prepare and submit all required GST & TDS filings and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
+. Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as an Accountant
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and Google sheets including near drive, docs
5. Knowledge of GST and TDS
6. Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations related to the hospitality industry.
Preferably from the Hotel Industry.
