At Agile BK, innovation isn’t just a buzzword—it’s our operating system. Ready to help build the future of accounting?

Position Overview

We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Accounting Associate who loves working with people as much as numbers. This is an entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting clients, learning bookkeeping workflows, and enhancing customer satisfaction through timely, clear, and friendly communication – ideal for recent grads, Co-Op students, and those looking for a new career start.

You’ll help maintain accurate financial records, use our AI-powered tools to streamline tasks, and become a trusted point of contact for our amazing clients. If you're excited to grow your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment, let’s talk.

What You’ll Do

Client Communication & Support: Be a helpful, professional point of contact for clients—respond to questions, provide updates, and follow up on missing documents in a timely, friendly manner.
Bookkeeping Assistance: Support day-to-day bookkeeping tasks like transaction classification, bank reconciliations, and other core bookkeeping functions. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced team members to learn and grow in your technical skills.
Email & Task Management: Track outstanding client items and internal to-dos using shared systems—ensuring nothing slips through the cracks and helping everyone stay organized.
Catch-Up & Cleanup Projects: Work on bringing new client accounts up to speed by helping with clean-up tasks, file sorting, and data gathering.
AI-Powered Workflows: Use our automation tools to simplify and accelerate common accounting tasks. (We’ll provide training—you just bring curiosity.)
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with accountants, bookkeepers, and team leads to deliver a smooth client experience and support operational efficiency.
Customer Experience Optimization: Be a voice for the client internally—identify pain points, recommend improvements, and help us continue raising the bar.
Who You Are

Early Career Professional: You’re a recent graduate or Co-Op student in Accounting, Business, or a related field (or you’re just looking for a fresh start in a new career path), eager to apply what you’ve learned in a real-world setting.
People-Oriented Communicator: You enjoy working with clients and colleagues alike. Whether it’s over email or a quick Zoom call, you’re clear, kind, and professional.
Detail-Focused & Organized: You’re the type to double-check your work, meet deadlines, and keep tabs on open tasks without needing reminders.
Eager to Learn Bookkeeping: You’re excited to develop your accounting skills, learn full-cycle workflows, and get exposure to cloud-based tools and automation.
Tech Comfortable: You’re familiar with tools like Google Workspace, Excel, and maybe even QuickBooks or Dext—and you’re open to picking up more.
Team Player: You like contributing to a shared goal and supporting the success of the whole team, not just your own to-do list.
Bonus Points If You Have:

A desire to (or are currently working toward) a CPA or other accounting designation.
Previous experience in customer service, public practice, or other client-facing roles.
Familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms or no-code tools.
What We Offer

Competitive Salary: Earn between $45,000 and $54,000, based on your experience and skills. Performance-based raises available as you grow your skills and take on more responsibility.
Hands-On Experience: From day one, you’ll work on real client accounts and build real-world skills.
Mentorship & Training: Learn from supportive colleagues invested in your development and success.
Flexible Time-Off: Recharge when you need to—we trust you to manage your time.
Full Benefits Package: Health, dental, and vision benefits included under a Health Spending Account plan.
Growth Opportunities: We’ll support your journey, whether that’s sharpening your bookkeeping skills or pursuing a CPA designation.
AI-Powered Workplace: Work alongside the future of accounting with tools that actually make your job easier.
Startup Culture: Fast-paced, flexible, and full of ideas. Bring yours.
Team Vibes: A fun, curious, and forward-thinking team that celebrates wins and supports each other.
Family-Friendly: We get that life happens. We support flexible schedules, hybrid work, and being human first.
Equal Opportunity: We’re committed to building an inclusive environment for all employees.
Be part of an innovative, people-first company that’s reshaping the future of accounting. Apply today and grow your career with Agile BK—where bookkeeping meets next-gen tech, and your potential meets its match.
