Accounting Clerk

Position Summary:

As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of FHSR. You will work closely with the Controller and other members of the finance team to maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, assist with payroll, and handle various clerical and administrative tasks. This position is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail, a passion for numbers, and a desire to gain experience in the accounting field.

Pay for this position is $26-$28 per hour based on experience.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and packing slips, and ensure accurate and timely payments.
Assist in the preparation of customer invoices, post payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
Assist in reconciling bank statements to the general ledger.
Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system, including journal entries.
Assist in processing employee expense reports and ensuring compliance with resort policies.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents.
Provide support in processing employee payroll and maintaining payroll records.
Assist in generating basic financial reports and statements for the Controller.
Perform various clerical and administrative duties to support the accounting department.
Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in accounting or related field is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and take direction from superiors.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Prior accounting or finance experience is a plus but not required.
