Job description
We are looking for an Accounting professional with proven experience in performing Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable duties. This position involves maintaining overall accuracy in general Ledgers, and the ideal candidate will help to ensure that accounting policies are properly observed in the accounting department. This includes preparation of regional accounts payables/receivables, journal entries, and bank account reconciliation. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and hands-on experience with journal entries.
Job Responsibilities:
• Bookkeeping AR/AP entries daily for incoming payments and updating customer accounts accordingly for Wire, ACH, Credit Cards and Checks, and handling all types of payments to vendors, employee reimbursements, reconciling credit cards, etc.
• Assist with credit approvals while following company guidelines for releasing orders and credit memo creation
• Assist with vendor invoice entries to meet payment day deadlines each week
• Manage customer and vendor accounts
• Periodically generate AR/AP reports for both internal and external use
• Handle general ledger bookkeeping where necessary
• Collaborate with team members to assist with general ledger adjustments where necessary
• Identify and provide solutions for accounting irregularities
• Assist with auditing activities as needed
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
• Minimum Associate's degree in a Finance, Accounting, or Business field
• 1-3 years of accounting experience required
• A strong sense of confidentiality
• Ability to set priorities and exercise expert independent judgment within areas of responsibility
• Ability to multi-task, think strategically, problem-solve, and collaborate with team members
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Applications
• Experience with ERP system is preferred
• Basic knowledge of computer components preferred
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese preferred
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be able to commute daily to office
