Okoboji Classic Cars, located in the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes in Milford, Iowa, offers a classic car museum and one-stop restoration experience that combines the expertise of a team of specialists who manage a restoration project from start to finish.
PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER/ACCOUNTING CLERK
We are seeking an experienced Part-time Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk to join our team and assist in the daily accounting related tasks for OCC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sending Month end statements for A/R
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
Conduct account research and analysis
Utilize accounting software such as Sage, Peachtree, etc.
Daily deposits and reconciliation
Support Accounts Payable and record daily cash transactions
Perform company credit card analyses and post to the ledger
Review, process, and post travel and expense reimbursements
Set up company vendors in company system
Track all freight claims
Annual audit support
Checking, approving, and entering invoices in a timely manner
Invoicing clients
Paying incoming invoices on time
Computing sales tax
Prepare reports as requested
Time clock/T-cards data
Other duties as assigned
SKILLS
Understanding of financial and accounting concepts and principles
Attention to detail and accuracy along with strong analytical skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Proficient in MS Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Data entry
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in protecting sensitive information
Ability to work independently and with people to produce a productive and good working environment.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting clerk, or similar role.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
WORKING HOURS
Approximately 20-25 hours/week
Monday - Friday
