Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer, this person is responsible for accounts payable.
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Open mail from vendors including invoices, credit reports, W-+, etc.
2. Match invoices, packing lists and purchase orders. Post Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting accounts payable module and ERP system.
3. As needed, select invoices to be paid. Generate computer or manual checks. Photocopy each check issued.
4. Prepare and maintain weekly the operating account check ledger.
5. Enter all EFT payments including payroll in operating account check book.
6. Monthly, create and update spread sheets for company credit card usage.
7. Maintain monthly spread sheet of employee receivables. Provide copy to Chief Financial Officer at the end of month.
8. Prepare month end reports for AP to be used in the month end financial close.
+. Maintain quarterly posting binder.
10. Maintain an adequate supply computer check stock and deposit tickets.
11. At year end, box up and label all AP financial documents for storage.
12. Complete special projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
13. Observe all company safety policies and practices.
14. Maintain and encourage cooperative relationships with all other Bunnell employees in supporting the company mission and strategic plan.
15. Adhere to the Company’s Guiding Principles.
16. This position requires following written procedures with extensive documentation and review. Improper performance of the specific jobs outlined in the procedures could produce a component to be used that is not performing according to specification.
17. Prepare and submit sales tax reporting for all required states, monthly, quarterly, semi-monthly, & annually.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Two (2) year of equivalent work experience
· Demonstrate organizational skills and interpersonal relationship skills
· Familiar with accounting software, GP, QuickBooks, etc.
· Excel, outlook, word, etc
