Job Title: Accounting Support Associate
About the Role
This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Accounting Operations:
• Record daily financial transactions in our accounting system.
• Maintain and reconcile cash, bank, and journal entries.
• Process accounts payable and receivable entries and reconciliations.
• Tax Compliance:
• Assist in preparing and filing monthly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
• Support TDS calculations and quarterly TDS return filing.
• Evaluate and maintain compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Vendor and Customer Management:
• Manage vendor bills and ensure timely payments.
• Coordinate with customers to resolve any issues related to receivables and account reconciliation.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly management information system (MIS) reports for review by the Manager - Accounts.
• Support in preparing ledgers, trial balances, and supporting documents for audits.
• Maintain organized files for invoices, vouchers, and supporting documents.
• Audit Support:
• Provide necessary data and explanations to internal and statutory auditors.
