Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage accounting functions for our renewable energy projects at the site level. The successful candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of experience, preferably with exposure to banking operations and financing related to renewable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage financial operations for renewable energy projects, including tracking budgets, expenses, and cash flows.
• Prepare and review project-specific financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• Maintain project accounting records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions in line with project agreements and financial protocols.
Financial Management:
• Coordinate with banks for day-to-day financial operations, including handling project accounts, transfers, payments, and receipts.
• Ensure timely disbursement of project-related payments, managing vendor accounts, contractor payments, and material cost settlements.
• Assist in managing project-related loans, guarantees, and financial instruments with banking institutions.
Compliance & Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, government policies, and industry-specific financial standards related to renewable energy projects.
• Prepare and file statutory reports, returns, and other necessary documentation as required by government bodies and stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
Cost Control & Budget Management:
• Monitor project costs to ensure adherence to budgeted allocations and manage variances.
• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate financial performance and suggest cost-saving measures to keep the project within budget.
• Track project progress, including construction and installation phases, ensuring timely financial reporting and cost control.
Cash Flow & Fund Management:
• Monitor cash flow for the site project, ensuring that there are adequate funds for ongoing operations, project milestones, and payments.
• Assist in managing working capital and maintaining optimal liquidity for site operations.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow projections, ensuring timely availability of funds for key project deliverables.
Qualifications:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or auditing.
• Experience in renewable energy projects (solar, wind, etc.) or similar industries is a plus.
