The Reporting Manager ensures client financial data is accurate and complies with client-prescribed methods. This role involves applying professional principles, practices, and innovative technology to manage financial reporting processes and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
• Review client reports and financial statements for accuracy and completeness while meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines.
• Manage technical research and application of US GAAP to accounting issues, particularly those related to investment companies.
• Automate and document accounting and reporting processes as required.
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management to support client development.
• Supervise team members to ensure quality output and high productivity.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (minimum requirement)
• Graduate degree preferred
• Licensed CPA or CA
Experience
• 5–10 years of professional experience
• Strong technical knowledge of investment accounting, particularly in partnerships and investment company accounting
• Demonstrated ability to resolve complex accounting issues
• Experience in Big 4 public accounting or fund administration preferred
• Financial statement preparation, including consolidations and footnotes
• Understanding of foreign currency translation and related accounting issues
• Proficiency in accounting systems and related technologies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage and develop employees
• Excellent organizational skills for handling complex, time-sensitive projects
