In October 2026, California based LegalZoom acquired Bangalore based startup , now LegalZoom (India). We are looking for talented, passionate, and driven engineers to join our Bangalore (India) team and help support our mission of 'Democratizing Law'.
As part of this dynamic team, our Finance team is seeking an accounting professional who is familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, business practices, and procedures. We seek an individual who embraces challenges and can rely on his/her experience, educational background and sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
The Accounting Manager, India Finance Operations, will be responsible for the establishment of our new financial shared-services function in Bangalore, India, to partner and collaborate with our corporate finance team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, strong communicator, and a great coach to develop our accounting staff. We are looking for a CPA, or equivalent, with a foundational understanding of US finance operations and the Technology industry, basic US GAAP, internal controls, strong analytical, leadership and interpersonal skills, and someone with the skills necessary to navigate a complicated environment and influence people in a fast-growing company.
You will
• Support and work closely with the Corporate Controller, Director of Accounting and Director of Revenue to establish our accounting and finance operations in Bangalore
• Onboard and coach billing and payable specialists
• Support billing and invoicing functions for our revenue and accounts payable teams
• Responsible for reconciling and reviewing balance sheet accounts each month
• Lead and review/post journal entries and batches for team members as part of daily, weekly and monthly close reviews
• Prepare and review internal financial reports and ancillary reports, provide commentary and explanations
• Assist with financial statement audits and other audits as necessary
• Assist in the review and documentation of existing controls and providing recommendations for improvement where necessary
• Coordinate project management over the close activities including with our subsidiaries
• Assist in strengthening the month-end process complete with a close calendar
• Ad-hoc reporting and analytics
You have
• Must have an active CPA certification or Indian Chartered Accountant equivalent and 5+ year accounting degree
• 5+ years of previous public company or Big-4 experience with large companies including experience with internal controls over financial reporting
• Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud is a plus
• Significant Technology and/or Software industry experience
• Strong technical accounting background and excellent documentation skills
• Strong data and spreadsheeting capabilities
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management
