About The Role, As Accounting Manager
• Work in a new building in Glastonbury, CT
• Cafe is located on the 1st floor with coffee, and quick food options
• The Accounting Manager will have a private office in the Accounting Department
• Core business hours are 8:00-5
• 401K + Match, Medical, Dental and Vision offered
• The Accounting Manager can potentially work a hybrid schedule 1 day per week
• This is a newly created position reporting to the President
Accounting Manager Responsibilities
• Oversee the Administrative Assistant, Staff Accountant, and Sr Staff Accountant
• Authorize and finalize accounts payable transactions
• Facilitate the month end close process
• Generate and present financial reports to leaders
• Develop and maintain the annual budget
• The Accounting Manager will have authority to streamline and improve process within the department
Preferred Qualifications Of The Accounting Manager
• Supervisory experience is highly preferred (some proven experience as a trainer or mentor)
• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related
• 3+ years in a senior-level accounting position
