About the job Accounting Manager - Controller - Indianapolis - In office
A large nationally well known manufacturer of consumer products is moving to Greater Indianapolis looking for a CONTROLLER - Accounting Manager,
This is an dynamic role for a accounting professional LIVING IN THE INDIANAPOLIS AREA with hands on CORPORATE ACCOUNTING & FINANCIAL STATEMENT CLOSING EXPERIENCE, with recent experience working for a manufacturer of consumer products.

Managing financial accounts, payroll, budgets, cash receipts, and assets
MUST BE ABLE TO CREATE A CASH FLOW / SOURCES / USES STATEMENT WITH FINANCIAL REPORTING PACKAGE
Overseeing transactions, debts, and conducting cash flow forecasts
Conducting financial audits and adhering to accounting procedures for financial goals
Monitoring and analyzing financial data, generating reports, and advising stakeholders
Revenue Management
• Scrutinizing customer contracts, assessing accounting implications, and summarizing key terms
• Accounting for customer deductions, including rebates, market share rebates, price protection agreements,
• Analyzing and estimating general and specific reserves, warranty history, and cash discount reserves
• Facilitating communication between sales and improving program understanding
• Assisting in reconciling intercompany accounts and conducting monthly variation analysis
Treasury Activities
• Managing daily banking transactions and reporting to bankers or debt holders
• Overseeing month-end close and preparing financial performance packages
Reporting and Compliance
• Preparing monthly financial statements and key account analyses
• Maintaining internal control documentation and liaising with auditors
• Conducting accounting research, preparing position memos, and ensuring monthly account reconciliation
Supervisory Responsibilities
• Managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Senior General Ledger Accountant
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; six years of related experience;
Computer Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel,Word, Access, and Outlook
• Experience with general ledger software. Cognos, Essbase, SQL, reporting softwares. Must have experience from Large ERP. Knowledge of MRP a plus.
