Job Title: Accounting Manager, Tax

Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 / year
A stable financial services private company in Puyallup, WA seeks an experienced Accounting Tax Manager. This position will report to the Controller and will be responsible for developing an in-house tax function, managing external tax providers, and preparing financials for multiple entities.
This role requires a blend of accounting expertise, multi-entity accounting, consolidations, and comprehensive tax knowledge, including federal, state, and partnership taxes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Handle multi-entity accounting and consolidations.
• Prepare and review federal, state, and partnership tax returns.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax positions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification and/or public accounting tax experience preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and tax management.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial statements, tax regulations, and compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
