Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting professional to join our team as a Staff Accountant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus, but not required.
• Responsibilities:
• Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
• Post merchant fee statements and reconcile 3rd party payment processors.
• Filing and recording documents and receipts accurately.
• Record financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Maintain fixed assets and amortize accruals.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and file tax returns and other government reports.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and tools.
