Bennett and Game Recruitment has the pleasure of working with a well-established Accountancy Practice in Birmingham who are looking to recruit an Accounting Services Manager to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. They are offering a salary of circa 50k, flexible working hours, hybrid working arrangement and 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
Reporting directly to the partners, this role will take full responsibility for department operations, managing two assistant managers and ensuring the team runs efficiently. This role offers significant support and career growth.
Accounting Services Manager Job Overview
• Lead and manage a diverse team, including senior staff, junior staff, and apprentices.
• Work with Assistant Managers to ensure smooth accounting operations.
• Support team members' professional growth.
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist clients with accounting software setup and general issues.
• Oversee accurate VAT return preparation and timely submission.
• Collaborate with other teams for accurate financial reporting.
• Analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
• Improve processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with tax preparation and regulatory reporting.
• Support Accounting Services Partners in financial planning and decision-making.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.
Accounting Services Manager Job Requirements
• ICAEW or ACCA full qualification.
• Previous experience in leading and managing accounting teams
• Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to apply accounting principles in reviewing complex financial reports for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Proficient in various accounting software's and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• 5 hours per day, Core hours between 10-4pm
