Job Title : Senior Accounting Specialist
Experience Level : 5-7 Years
Location : Pune
Department : Finance & Accounting
Key Responsibilities :
Accounts Receivable (AR) Function and Month-End and Annual closing of Financial Reporting
• Oversee the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely invoicing, collection, Payment posting and reconciliation of outstanding payments.
• Monitor AR aging reports and work closely with the sales team to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow.
• Ensure accurate allocation of revenue across departments, business units, and projects.
• Ensure accurate data for commission Pay-out for Sales team.
• Prepare Bad debts provisioning working, Perform Revenue variance analysis to compare actuals with previous data, identifying key trends and providing explanations for significant discrepancies.
• Intercompany transactions and reconciliation
• Month end and end year end process.
• Monthly financial statements (balance sheet, Profit and loss statement, and statement of cash flows)
• Manage the accrual process for revenue recognition, ensuring timely and accurate recording of revenue.
Qualifications & Skills :
• Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (Articleship or equivalent certification preferred).
• 5-7 years of hard-core experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably in a corporate setting.
• Hands-on experience with accounts receivable functions and related processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
• Excellent Communication, and problem-solving skills
