About the Role
Talladega College seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to manage our financial operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budget reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including general ledgers, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare budget reports and financial statements, as required.
• Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide support for the annual audit process.
• Inventory physical assets and maintain an accurate fixed asset ledger.
• Provide exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from departments and operating units.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an academic environment. A Master's degree or CPA certification is desirable.
A salary of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience, will be offered to the selected candidate.
