Accounting department is responsible for the overall development, implementation, management and administration of financial matters.
The Position
Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounts Administrator will work in bookkeeping, payroll and assist with accounts receivable and month end duties.
Key Accountabilities:
Prepare daily journal entries by compiling and analyzing accounts.
Input daily invoices and ensure the accuracy.
Process payroll on semi-monthly basis and handle basic benefits inquiries.
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
Assist with accounts receivable collections, cover accounts receivable billing process when necessary.
Ad hoc duties assigned by accounting supervisor and CEO.
Qualifications:
At least 3+ years of accounting and payroll experience.
Must possess an accounting certificate/diploma/degree.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, strong attention to detail.
Experience and knowledge of Accpac would be an asset.
Software skills must include advanced competency with the following applications: MS outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Experience in managing diverse and time-sensitive priorities is required, including the ability to organize workflow, identify urgent work, multi-task and set priorities.
Positive team player and able to work with all levels of personnel inside and outside the organization.
Collection experience would be an asset.
