Core responsibilities
Manage financial transactions: Process invoices, track expenses, and manage the daily accounting of receipts and payments.
Project accounting: Handle site-specific accounting activities, including managing petty cash for sites, and ensure timely submission of documents.
Accounts payable and receivable: Process and reconcile invoices, pay vendors, and manage billings to clients.
Banking and reconciliation: Prepare and review bank reconciliation statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Reporting: Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial statements, and other financial analyses to track project performance.
Audit support: Assist with preparing financial documentation and support for internal and external audits.
Budgeting and forecasting: Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities for construction projects.
Qualifications and skills
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is typically required.
Experience: Experience in construction or real estate accounting is a significant advantage, often with 1-3+ years of relevant experience.
Software proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software, especially Far Vision, ERP, and advanced skills in MS Excel are crucial.
Technical skills: Solid understanding of accounting principles, construction accounting practices, and tax regulations (GST, TDS).
Soft skills: High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
