We are on the lookout for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a business in Stafford to support the finance team with the day to day running of transactional finance with all activities related to Accounts Payable.
The successful individual will report directly into the Financial Controller, paying between £25,000 - £28,000 per annum.
The business offer hybrid working with the opportunity to work from home at least twice a week.

Responsibilities:
• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, including ledgers and supporting documentation.
• Verify and approve invoices for payment, reconciling with purchase orders and ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to resolve queries and ensure timely payment processing.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers with bank statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Assist with other accounts payable tasks as assigned, including research, data entry, and reporting.
Requirements:
• Relevant experience of general finance administration.
• Experience with financial systems.
• Ability to think on your feet and deal with queries in a timely manner.
• A focus on attention to detail and challenging mindset.
• Good Excel Skills.
• Experience with process and controls improvements.
• Experience within Manufacturing desirable.
