Accounting Manager with Accounts Payable Focus
Direct Hire
Atlanta Metropolitan Area
Salary: $120,000-$130,000 / year
Position Summary
Our client, a comprehensive, high-end information security services firm, is looking for an Accounting Manager (Focus on AP) to join their team. This individual will be a technically skilled accountant with a strong foundation of operational accounting processes. Collaborating and working directly with the VP of Finance, this individual will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the accounting department across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for GAAP preparation, review and analysis of consolidated financial statements.
• Manage the daily operation of the accounting department including accounts payable, payroll, fixed asset management, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Accounts Payable oversight multi-national. Manage financial obligations to suppliers and service providers, oversee invoice management and payment processing.
• Multi-National Tax Compliance
• Census reporting
• Coordinate and drive month-end close within company deadlines.
• Cash management; maintain check register and supporting documentation.
• Provides sales reports, commission calculations, and P&L review information to management in accurate and timely manner.
• Monthly management reporting including budget to actual, departmental, job and project and ad hoc reporting as required by the business.
• Monitors the effectiveness of department systems, policies and procedures. Assist in establishing and documenting department procedures and internal controls.
• Serves as a liaison with external auditors with interim and year-end audits.
• Think outside the box to work with the Controller to provide efficient and automated processes and solutions through high company growth.
Requirements:
• BA/BS degree in Accounting.
• 6+ years’ experience in a hands-on Corporate Accounting Department.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Multicurrency, multi-location, and intercompany accounting required.
• Extremely detail oriented and organized; strong analytical skills required.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Advanced ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with flexibility.
• Understands basic accounting database structure, department and project level accounting.
• Detailed understanding of NetSuite.
• CPA a plus.
• Power BI a plus.
