Robert Half has partnered with a long standing real estate firm in central Denver in search of an accounts payable specialist. This is a fully in-office position requiring a minimum of 4+ years of accounts payable experience, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and basic account reconciliation skills. Experience in the real estate industry is a plus but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Processing:
• Review, verify, and process invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure proper coding and authorization of invoices.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all payable transactions.
Vendor Relations:
• Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies and answer queries.
• Maintain updated vendor files and prepare vendor payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and handle any related issues.
Account Reconciliation:
• Perform basic account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist in month-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are properly reconciled.
Data Management:
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze, manipulate, and report on financial data.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting.
Compliance and Reporting:
• Adhere to company policies and procedures in all accounts payable activities.
• Prepare reports as required by management and assist in audits.
Qualifications:
Experience:
• Minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounts payable.
• Experience in the real estate industry is highly desirable but not required.
Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic experience with account reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for effective vendor and internal team interactions.
Attributes:
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
Education:
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Location:
• This is a fully in-office position, located just south of Downtown.
