Accounts Payable Specialist in the Energy Space

Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will primarily be responsible for processing and validating invoices through our AP OCR system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. Additionally, you will assist with vendor setup and handle mailbox duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Invoice Processing (+0%):
• Manage and work the AP system for scanned invoices through the workbench queue.
• Validate invoice data, ensuring vendor details, invoice numbers, purchase orders, dollar amounts, and line items are accurately scanned and uploaded.
• Identify workflow requirements and route invoices for approval.
• Assist with AP processing, handling an approximate volume of 200 invoices per day. Support team members in processing invoices effectively.
• Vendor Setup & Mailbox Assistance (10%):
• Help with the setup of new vendors in the system.
• Manage and respond to inquiries in the AP mailbox.
Basic Requirements For Accounts Payable Specialist Candidates
• Associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, PLUS if you have Workday!
• Strong problem-solving skills for system and accounting issues, with the ability to analyze financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
• Self-directed, results-oriented work style with a collaborative mindset.
