We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our vibrant team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, receipts, and payments. This is a permanent position and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the overall financial success of our company. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operations, processing, and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Responsibilities
• Process accounts receivable transactions and ensure all invoices and payments are accurate and up-to-date.
• Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Conduct account research and analysis, identify billing issues, and resolve customer inquiries.
• Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.
• Develop and implement improvements to the accounts receivable process.
• Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer accounts and ensure timely collections.
• Maintain accurate and complete financial, customer, and vendor records.
Qualifications
• Proven working experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or Bookkeeper (5+ years).
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software packages.
• Excellent data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus.
