Accounts Receivable Specialist
Are you available for a contract Accounts Receivable project in Overland Park, KS? The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions, including invoice generation, payment processing, and account reconciliation. This is a 3-4 month project working on-site with potential to go permanent for the right candidate. Pay is $22-26 hour based on experience. Read below for additional details!
Responsibilities:
• Generate and send out invoices
• Follow up on, collect, and allocate payments
• Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
• Perform account reconciliations
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies
• Generate age analysis
• Review AR aging to ensure compliance
• Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records
• Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash, etc.
• Process credit card payments
• Prepare bank deposits
• Investigate and resolve customer queries
• Process adjustments
• Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
• Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally
Requirements:
• Proven working experience as Accounts Receivable or Business to Business Collections Specialist
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Education:
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration – preferred
