Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounts Professional to manage and oversee accounting functions related to shipping, freight forwarding, and customs clearance operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, ideal for someone with strong domain knowledge and leadership capability.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-end accounting for shipping, forwarding, and CHA operations
• Handling billing, invoicing, cost sheets, and reconciliation
• Managing statutory compliances, tax filings, and audits
• Overseeing direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, etc.)
• Coordinating with internal teams, clients, vendors, and auditors
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting and process efficiency
Required Qualifications & Experience
• Proven experience in Accounts within a CHA or Freight Forwarding company
• Strong understanding of customs clearance and forwarding terminology
• Sound knowledge of Direct & Indirect Taxation, tax filing, and audits
• Proficiency in Tally and relevant accounting tools
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
