Role Overview
You'll take charge of our core accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring that numbers tell the real story of our business. You will be the go-to person for financial clarity and reporting discipline, helping leadership steer decisions based on data.
Key Responsibilities
• Accounting Management: Record, verify, and reconcile all transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank reconciliations.
• Invoice management: Issuance, verification, and tracking of client and vendor invoices.
• Assist in monthly/quarterly financial closures.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable reports.
• Liaise with external accountants for tax filings, audits, and compliance.
• MIS Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Analyze and summarize sales, purchases, cash flows, supplier settlements, customer aging, and key financial KPIs.
• Create dashboards and trend analyses to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
• Maintain structured reports for vendor performance, category performance, and operational costs.
• Process Improvements: Identify gaps in the accounting and reporting processes and suggest improvements.
• Support in setting up automation tools or templates for better reporting.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting and/or MIS roles (startup or e-commerce experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (basic understanding of IFRS/GAAP a plus).
• Proficiency in using accounting software.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (Pivot tables, Lookup functions, basic dashboards).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Startup mindset: proactive, structured, and flexible.
Preferred Skills
• Understanding of e-commerce accounting (payment gateway reconciliation, supplier settlements, etc.).
• Exposure to multi-currency accounting (EUR, NOK, USD).
