This is a Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2026, working an average of 25 hours per week.
Hours & Roster Details:

Hours: Average 25 hours per week
Shift Time: 5.5 hours per shift
Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly roster across Monday - Sunday)
In this role, you will be supporting the Activities Coordinator, identifying the leisure activity needs of our 60residents based on their interests, preferences, and abilities and contribute to the planning and implementation of individual and group activities programmes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Participate and contribute to both individual and group programme activities.
Contribute to the review and assessment of the residents' individual activities programme.
Actively promote a homely, stimulating, and pleasant environment for the residents and their families.
Develop and maintain excellent internal and external communication networks to support the activities programme.
About You
An NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level is preferred.
Must have previous experience in activities or lifestyle programmes for older people.
Previous experience within aged care is desirable.
Display enthusiasm, empathy, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of residents.
Demonstrate outstanding communication skills.
A fun personality with a creative flair.
A clean, full driver’s licence is preferable, as you may drive the van for resident outings.
