About the Role:
As a Manager - Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to various business units within Adidas. From commercial contracts and intellectual property to regulatory compliance and dispute resolution, your expertise will help to mitigate risks and enable strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, and sponsorship agreements.
• Intellectual Property: Manage and protect Adidas' intellectual property assets, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Conduct trademark clearance searches and manage trademark enforcement efforts as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations affecting Adidas' business operations, providing guidance and support to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Dispute Resolution: Manage and resolve legal disputes and claims, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Corporate Governance: Provide legal support for corporate governance matters, including board meetings, shareholder communications, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units, HR, finance, and compliance teams, to provide legal advice and support on various matters.
Qualifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess legal risks and provide practical solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in the sports or fashion industry is a plus.
