We have an opportunity for a Administration Manager – Sterile Insect Technology to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The Administration Manager, Sterile Insect Technology is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day administrative requirements of the Sterile Insect Technology (SIT) Facility and providing support to the Facility Manager. The role is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all human and physical resources, facilities and services and materials required by the Facility.
The position contributes to the implementation of operational plans by ensuring that business management functions and needs are delivered in accordance with PIRSA policy. The position establishes systems to monitor and report against agreed key performance indicators, making it possible to determine whether business management functions are being implemented to expectation and are being effective.
The incumbent is required to have a good understanding of the role of government and PIRSA, strong skills in relationship management, problem solving skills, strong organisational skills, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Special Conditions
Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

Requirements
Out of hours work may be required.
Possession of a current driver’s license and a willingness to drive.
You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
Intrastate and interstate travel and overnight absences may be required.
The role is located at PIRSA’s SIT Facility at Pt Augusta.
The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
Remuneration
ASO5 - $85,7+0 min - $+5,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
