A bit about the role
As the Team Leader Planning Investigations, you will lead a team of four skilled officers that effectively enforce compliance with Wyndham’s Planning Scheme and Planning Permits.
You and your team will offer guidance to Wyndham’s residents and stake holders regarding adherence to and violations of Planning Permits and planning scheme as well as work promptly to investigate and resolve alleged breaches within Wyndham City in line with all relevant policies and legislation.
What you’ll do
Advise and provide expertise on planning enforcement issues
Implement quality assurance measures, standard operating procedures, and training & development plans to drive a high-performance culture
In conjunction with management, oversee legal matters where investigations lead to prosecution
What you’ll bring
Degree or diploma relating to Compliance with relevant experience (desirable)
A current driver’s licence
Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and additional hours as required to meet community and Council expectations of an effective service delivery
Experience in planning enforcement, or other related compliance field
Knowledge of the Victorian planning system and relevant legislation
Proven ability to provide effective leadership and staff development
A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
