Job Description
This is a high-level administrative position based in Canberra, supporting the Chief Executive & Principal Registrar at the High Court of Australia. The successful candidate will provide executive support to ensure the smooth running of the Chief Executive's Office and contribute to the effective operations of the High Court.
Key Responsibilities
Provide executive support for the CE&PR
Support Court Business Meetings and other meetings as required
Manage the production of the Court's Annual Reports
Manage all Court ceremonies and official events
Liaise with Australian Courts, Government agencies, and legal entities
Assist the CE&PR in providing secretariat services to the Council of Chief Justices
Manage general enquiries correspondence
Prepare certificates in respect of the High Court Register of Practitioners
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated high-level liaison, administrative, and organisational skills
Demonstrated capacity to provide high-level support services
Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain discretion
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory - Nil
Desirable - Understanding of the Australian legal system
