Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative advanced mid-level video editor to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a strong grasp of video editing software, storytelling techniques, and post-production processes to create visually engaging and polished content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Edit and produce video content, including promotional videos, interviews, tutorials, and more.
• Edit raw footage into compelling narratives, ensuring brand consistency and storytelling alignment with the project’s goals.
• Apply advanced techniques such as color grading, motion graphics, sound design, and visual effects to enhance production quality.
• Review and select the best takes and cuts to form a cohesive storyline.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with the highest quality standards.
• Manage video content optimization for different digital platforms (YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) considering format, length, and audience engagement.
• Sync sound, add music, and design sound effects where needed.
• Stay up to date with the latest editing software, industry trends, and techniques to continuously improve video quality and efficiency.
• Maintain organized project files, ensuring proper naming conventions and version control across projects.
Qualifications:
• 3–5 years of experience in video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of work (e.g., commercials, social clips, paid media ads, branded content).
• Proficiency in industry-standard editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and motion graphics programs.
• Strong knowledge of color grading, sound mixing, and video compression techniques.
• Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and creative editing.
• Experience in working with different video formats and resolutions (4K, HD, etc.).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with video codecs, formats, and exporting for various platforms.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with 3D animation or motion graphics.
• Basic understanding of cinematography and on-set production.
• Ability to assist at shoots and communicate effectively with the production team.
Bonus Skills and Experience:
• Proficiency in video production equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio recording gear.
• Experience with on-location shooting and understanding of set design, lighting setups, and shot composition.
• Experience with live video streaming and multi-camera setups.
• Understanding of different camera types and lenses, and how to optimize settings for various environments.
• Familiarity with drone videography and other specialized shooting techniques.
Contract Details:
• Duration: Project-based with potential for ongoing work based on performance and project needs.
• Compensation: Hourly rate based on experience and scope of work.
• Availability: Must be able to work on tight deadlines and be responsive to feedback within agreed-upon timelines.
